Management
2 Tribes is owned and managed by a group of young and energetic former executives. They have pooled their skills to offer diverse development and property management solutions to both local and foreign investors:
Dean Yeadon, co-founder
Former CEO of Halcyon Africa Hotels. Dean has developed in excess of USD 200 million of leisure and residential resorts in South Africa, Tanzania, Zanzibar and now Mauritius. He is a published photo-journalist, iron man alum, and is addicted to kite-surfing.
Greg Schuurman, projects
An extensive Project Management background has seen Greg working in Africa, the Middle East, and Mauritius on world renowned hotel and commercial developments. Before joining us, Greg was a director at SIP Project Managers. He has extensive experience in large scale project initiation and implementation, adding to the all-inclusive service delivery offered by 2 Tribes. Lately, you’re likely to find him running up and down Mauritian hill sides.
Sian Chevasson, client support
London, Dubai and now Mauritius. London Weekend Television, Harvey Nichols, the Royal Mirage and finally 2 Tribes. Research, public relations, marketing and client liaison. Sian brings world-class experience on a global scale from the realms of media, hospitality and retail to our team. And to relax? Reading, writing and leisurely strolls on the beach in front of her house.
Karen Bodenstein, accounting
Karen holds a BCom Accounting degree and has over 8 years experience as an accountant in the construction and development industry. She enjoys camping around the island’s wilder parts, and is an avid reader.
Jackie Howard, co-founder
Former CFO of Ernst & Young South Africa, Jackie has extensive property management and structured finance experience. She graduated in 1987 as a Chartered Accountant with the highest results achieved in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. As CFO of Ernst & Young, she provided financial direction and support to the firm, and was responsible for financial construction controls of their ZAR 110 million head office in Johannesburg.
Tracy Haarhoff, legal
Prior to joining 2 Tribes, Tracy qualified and practiced law in South Africa specializing in corporate, commercial, property and probate law with a special focus on development work including sectional title and freehold development. She is in her first year of kite surfing, and could probably teach you a thing or two about the island’s nightlife.
Daggett Harvey, e-business
Originating from Chicago, Daggett brings 12 years of experience in e-marketing and web development. During that time his wife and small children have lived in India, France, Australia, Thailand, and the US. Needless to say, they are content to stay awhile in Mauritius! He earned his BA at Wesleyan University (USA), and MBA at Murdoch University (Australia). Tennis, biking, windsurfing, and snorkeling are his pleasures…when he’s not on sandcastle duty.
